Motorola HT1250

11 posts in this topic

Hey guys

Quick question on the frequency ranges for the HT1250s, can they cover low-bands (along the 46's) as well as UHF (around the 452-473s)? I've heard split answers and wanted to make sure. The Motorola info sheet isn't very specific.

Thanks

According to this page yes would be the answer. But just call your radio dealer they'll tell you for sure.

Just to be clear: You need one radio for each frequency spread.

Side note: I wasn't impressed with the HT1250 Low Band's performance. I get better range with my 15y/o P200.

CORRECT Medic137! :D

I had given Engine4 a little credit that he might already know that. haha

Personally, I think HT1250 is crap.

I love the HT1000 it can take a beating.

2nd that HT1000's are great radio's. But I don't think you could ever beat "The Bricks" MT1000 probably one of the best Radio's ever.

I had an HT1000 before I got promoted and I loved it. The thing could get dropped, kicked, and practically driven over, and it still worked. When I got promoted to Sergeant, I was issued a 1250, which in my opinion is a POS. The only good thing is that it has the LCD display so that I know who is keying up based on the programmed identifier. Other than that, the 1000 is probably a better buy and a better piece of equipment.
