  3. Here's more information: He joined the military for a 4 year commitment after college. After colllege, he took a few civil service exams, and joined the reserves. He was sent overseas for a couple of tours, and returned home, took the civil service test again.....got through the hiring process....and the economy tanked, and the academy was cancelled. My main question, though, is about the economy, hiring process, and how I feel it is unfairly excluding excellent canidates who don't have any chance at all, really, in the current economy. This is not a NYS or TX Civil Service applicant.

  9. I know NYC's Fire Patrol has been shut down for a while now, a result of the insurance industry being shortsighted and cheap) but I'm just wondering, what's happened to the buildings, apparatus, and most importantly, the firefighters who served on the NYC Fire Patrol?????

  13. GM has sold off the Hummer brand to a Chinese industrial company. Does GM Hummer still have anything to do with the Hummers used by the Military????
  14. Austin-Travis County, TX EMS took delivery of this 2009 Dodge Sprinter/Wheeled Coach Type II. Two more are expected. They are expected to be utilized for numerous large special events held in Austin each year, including UT Football Games, Austin City Limits Music Festival, South By Southwest, and a host of other events. These are the first vehicle of their kind to be delivered to this agency. Photo taken this afternoon by me. They also recieved seven International 4900/Wheeled Coach Type IIII's on Friday, one of which is equipped with a stretcher lift for bariatric patients.
