Westchester is going to a trunked analog UHF system. There aren't current plans to convert the system to digital, although it might have made more sense. Most TrunkTracker scanners by Uniden and Radio Shack will be more than adequate to listen to the system.

This goes along with the utterly ridiculous setup at WPHC for decon, where the showers drain into the ambulance bay and the decon trailer at NWHC being down a narrow alley next to the ED, with no real provision for setting up separate flow of contaminated/deconned patients in and out. This county's ED's are woefully unprepared for a real HazMat/WMD incident.

My guess is that it's coming over the input freq of one of the UHF links, then getting sent back out on 46.26. Someone could try listening on 46.26 with a PL/DPL decoding capable receiver to see if they can ID the source input by PL/DPL if the link isn't stripping that off when it passes the signal through. Otherwise, folks need to listen to the input side of the UHF links to see if one of them is feeding this crapola through. Anybody wanna go out on a signal hunt?
