    Description: Heavy fire in multiple very large piles of mulch. Multiple large line operating with a tower ladder in operation. Tanker shuttle is on going with 2 draft site set up.

    Description Of Incident: House struck by lighting starting a fire in the attic area. Fire was in a 1.5 wood frame pvt dwelling. Fire was held to the attic area. M/A tanker from Ringwood FD (T-262) to stand-by at Co 4

  3. It is a video camera that transmits back to the hospital command center so the administrative staff can see what is going on at the scene. The unit is mounted on our special operations communication vehicle. This unit is parked at the NYP Weill Cornell campus.

    Description Of Incident: Single engine jet was landing and over shot the runway down an enbankment into the woods and overturned. FD worked on freeing the pilot that was trapped.

    Description Of Incident: Fire reported on the rear deck from a BBQ. Engine 4 arrived to find heavey fire in the and into the attic. The first line was pulled to the rear and k/d the fire. Members made entry to the front and conducted a searches with negative result. Fire did extend into the dwelling via the attic. The fire was k/d and placed u/cin 35 mins. One member was treathed and transported for a leg injury.

  7. West Milford NJ (Passaic Co) Fire department is made up of 6 fire companies and cover 98 square miles. I will start with Company 4 the Macopin Fire Company we operate 1 engine 1 tanker (tender) 1 rescue and a brush truck.

    Description Of Incident: Fire in a 20x30 2 story frame garage with an apartment on the 2nd floor. Fire started in the garage and extented up to the second floor and roof area. Fire was k/d with in 10 mins a live power line was down in front of the building.

  9. RETIRED FDNY FIREFIGHTER WILLIAM "BILLY" QUICK-9/11 WTC Cancer

    It is with deep regret that we advise you that FDNY FF Billy Quick, 55 (Retired) has died from cancer.

    Billy was a very well known, colorful and popular FDNY Firefighter who the absolute definition of a Fireman's Fireman-from his fun side to the "job serious" side. Billy was also a 20+ year member of the Long Beach FD, in Nassau County, Long Island, New York. He leaves behind his wife, Lisa and 2 children, their twins Ryan Mary and William Henry, age 17. Tragically, Billy lost a short battle with what appeared to be effects suffered from operating at Ground Zero during 9/11. He was suffering from COPD, CHF along with other health issues. Before he passed away, he was hooked up around the clock to a machine that gave him the oxygen that his lungs no longer could take from the air.

    He will be reposing at Macken Mortuary 3930 Long Beach Road Island Park, NY on Thursday (01/20/11) 2-4pm & 7-9pm and Friday (01/21/11) 2-4pm & 7-9pm.

    Firematic Services will be held on Friday 01/21/11 at 8pm Macken Mortuary 3930 Long Beach Road, Island Park, N.Y.

    Mass will be held 9:30am at St. Ignatius Church 721 West Broadway, Long Beach, NY Burial to follow at St. Charles Cemetery 149 Conklin Street, Farmingdale, NY
