  2. Can you just buy raffle tickets for the guns ?
  3. The first fire was an M-7 train (the cars had no passengers in them) and the second was a Cab Car on a Bomb Train (not sure if there were any people on it). I know neither fire was large enough to cause major damage to the cars. I'm not sure how they were put out, I assume the train crew. When I go back to work I'll see if I can find the cars and get some pictures.
  4. KUDOS to you guys, what a stop that was

  6. I've know John for a very long time both from the towing business and from the fire department and I have to say he was one of the nicest guys you'd ever meet. This is both a tragic and senseless and my sympathy goes out to both the family and the members of Garrison Fire Department. May you rest in peace friend
  7. Guy's good luck with the truck. I do however think it looked better it Bill's pictures so if you ever want to change the color and need a "Stand-By Crew" give us a call, we may be able to convert it like Rombout's Engine.

  14. I'm pretty sure Philipstown VAC still does the stand by's like when I was Capt long ago. The rig is in service while it's there and will take calls. This part I'm not sure if it's the same though, If it leaves for a call the second rig is toned out and requested to the game and if that rig goes to a call we toned out Garrison with one of there rigs. This is how it used to be but that was in the days of Dr. Desi being the MD for the games, like I said a LONG time ago. We did'nt get anything from the school for doing the standby's other than good PR.
