Heard these same types of dispatches while going to Firehouse Expo. While traveling near the Delaware Memorial bridge transmissions......fully involved boat... "New Castle County Marine Unit being sent to aide at a boat fire" all on 46.26 very clear ! Thought it was Wilmington Delaware. Also many on air transmissions to "Units arriving at hospitals"

Just a thought , couldnt the phone company print the emergency agency that appears on the screen for the customer on a monthly bill ? In other words your phone bill would ask the question ,,, Is the responce information correct from the Town , City ,Village emergency service that protects the home. When E-911 started in Westchester County everyone was checking the information that appears on the display. People would call and say " Do you see Yonkers listed as my Police Dept ?" This may not be the case in this situation. hudson144 is bringing up a very true fact !!

While talking about the French Filmakers Jules and Gedeon Naudet Documentary of 9/11 I remember feeling angry that CBS was going broadcast what I thought was just a movie about that day. My opinon changed when I realize that the filmmakers had been spenting the the entire summer filming Probie Tony Benetatos. The Two brothers did not just show up and push there way into lower Manhattan that day. For some unknown reason they found themselves in the attack. The Bravery of everyone Responding (FDNY/NYPD EMS PORT AUTH) is clear and the Footage was meant to been viewed.When Jules went to the suspected gas leak and heard the roar from above and turned his camera upward that is an image that changed all of us! I listened to some of the Radio transmission on Firehouse . com and It brings back all the importance of having to help each other in the fire service.
