To answer your question, the house is literally feet away from the Yonkers border. One side of the street is Hastings but across the street is Yonkers. Very happy to see everyone working together, regardless.

Millerton Fire under the direction of Chief Jason Watson responded to a cattle truck into a silo hopper and building off Route 22 just North of the Webutuck High School. The truck hauling cows to the fair went off the road and traveled several hundred feet through two fields before going down an embankment and striking and going under a dust silo entraping the driver. I arrived several minutes into the operation and have no patient update or cause of the accident

The Sub Base FD is part of the New London County mutual aid system and is the primary Hazardous materials incident in the county (part of the C.E.R.R.I.T.). The department has 2 stations, headquarters is located on the "lower base" and Station 2 is located in the off base residential area located near Route 12.
The Department's call letter is "C" so on the radios the apparatus are C-11, C-21, C-15, C-100, C-200, ect. The first number is the station the unit is out of and the second tells the apparatus type (1-4 are pumpers, ETs, mini pumpers, service units; 5 is aerial device, 6 is EMS first responder, 7 is rescue or hazmat).
The Sub Base is also the FAST / RIT unit for part of the county.

Here are views of the rigs that serve the Groton, CT. sub base. They were taken last month on a photo taking tour of this area. It was a rather damp day, but the pictures came out decently.

Hey, in Mount Vernon you never know? Riot control maybe?
Seriously, I think the BRAT became more of a brand name then it's acronym when people see what Firematic is capable of, and they built from the BRAT's excellent reputation.

I have never been a big fan of having anything that says I am a Past Chief, whether it's a vehicle plate, helmet front or whatever, those in the fire service that I work with know what titles I have held and the knowledge I have to offer at a scene.

I routinely scour eBay for "stuff"...and found this yesterday.
It is a postcard with a photo of the members of the J H Ketcham Hose Company, and it is post dated 1909. JHK was incorporated in 1908...these may VERY WELL be our founding fathers!
I plan to get it framed and donate it to the department to hang in our meeting room.
