The Beekman New York Fire District recently took delivery of their new Chief's vehicle, a 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe.

The LED lighting system includes an FX Freedom lightbar, side Mirror Beams, grille mounted 700 Super LEDs, LAW HideAways in the taillights and linear Traffic Advisor installed above the rear cargo doors. Two Strip Lite LEDs installed on the interior face of the cargo door, provide additional rear facing warning when the cargo door is raised. Four Strip Lite LED compartment lights were also added inside the cargo area for general work lighting at night. A 295SLSA6 lighting / siren controller and Sound Off headlight flasher complete the system.

The center console is a 24 inch Havis which includes the department radio, Whelen SLSA6, Traffic Advisor control, power outlets, armrest and storage box. The exterior grahics (including the bumper chevron) are fully reflective.

A custom Command and Storage cabinet was built for the cargo compartment which includes apace for turnout gear, SCBA, command drawer with whiteboard and storage drawer for scene and command supplies.

The new Tahoe is the second vehicle Specialty Warning Systems has provided to the Beekman Fire District, the first being their Fire Police Van completed in November of 2008. We, at Specialty Warning, extend our thanks to the Beekman FD for their continued confidence in us to provide their new vehicles and look forward to working with them on future projects.

Specialty Warning Systems recently completed and delivered a 2010 Dodge Charger to the Redding (CT) Police Department. Serving primarily as a traffic enforcement vehicle, RPD's new Charger is replacing it's predecessor, a 2007 Crown Victoria.

With an overall "discreet" configuration the priority, the lighting package incorporates Whelen Mirror and Inner Beams, 4 inch round TIR6s in the lower front driving light housings, a dash mounted dual Avenger and Sound Off Ghost Lights in the front grille. Dual Talons and Federal Vipers installed on the rear package shelf, and two LAW HideAway LEDs placed in the OEM reverse light housings work in conjunction with the OEM taillight flashers to provide rear lighting. LINZ6s were mounted in each rear passenger window to provide side lighting.

The Havis Stout Mount console contains the Whelen 295HFSA6 controller, department radio, adjustable armrest, power outlets and swing arm with adjustable base for a laptop computer.

Specialty Warning Systems extends it's thanks to the Redding PD for their continued confidence in us to provide their installation, conversion and repair services. We look forward to working with them for many years to come.
