  2. we must also not forget that our government had the brilliant idea of wanting to bail out other countries (i believe in europe, not 100% sure). but it's very disappointing that us as emergency service providers know that if we respond to a disaster (like 9/11) where thousands of people trying to help get sick, we know we will not get proper care that we need because out government it too worried about helping banks and the auto industry and they don't care about us trying to lend a hand.

  3. At the Congressional Fire Services Institute conference in DC last month, DHS was showing off some Science and Tech exhibits to members of Congress, and I got a chance to try one of these on. I CANNOT wait until these hit production. Light, small, reduces the need for someone to go Lo-Pro through studs during a wall breach. They are a bit wide though, but not on the more broad shouldered guys.

since you had the opportunity to try one of these on, how much less does this new unit weigh over the unit we currently use today? are they alot more comfortable to wear?

  5. So is that guy in the 7th picture just some random dude playing with the stabilizing jacks? Or is he a firefighter

I thought the motto was, Always use proper PPE...

THe guy in the 7th picture that is putting out the stabilizing jacks is the driver of the ladder. after he got the ladder set up he put on his turnout gear. He is in teh tenth picure, he is the guy on the turn table.
