  3. yeah thats some scary stuff. its deffinatly a bouncing betty anti personel mine, theyre not designed to kill just severely injure and slow the advance of infantry, thank god this didnt turn out in a worst case scenerio type event being the devices age it could be very unstable and could have gone off regardless if the saftey pin was in, hell he could have dropped it on accident and it could have detonated injuring or killing himself and yfd personel.

  4. in regards to the post about that being a non military aircraft, im afraid you are mistaken the military designation for that bird is the oh-58 kiowa wich has several variations, it is primarily a scout helicopter but is being used in on going conflicts as a close air support helo and or a QRF.

but as for the nypd being able to take down a civilian aircraft there is no way any credible threat from an aircraft goes to the faa then to the us air force leazon then through the chain of command, the final say on aircraft shoot downs goes through the president, unless the aircraft has entered restricted airspace at wich time fighters would have already been scrambled and the aircraft hailed by said fighter to land or be shot down at wich time if the aircraft refuses to land or no reply to the command is givin it falls on the fighters co to give the order.

  5. I've had experience using this machine, it's a great learning tool for shoot don't shoot situations. My father when he was a firearms instructor for Eastchester used this machine and during that time so did I. It goes through a multitude of situations; for example theres a call for a armed suspect that has barricaded himself in a 3rd floor apt you are on the stairwell just below, the suspect come out of the apt with the weapon and you give the order to drop the weapon he does not do so and raises the weapon towards you, you then shoot the supsect ending the scenario. Tthis one aslo has 2 other endings same scenario, same thing except instead of an armed suspect out comes a child with a cap gun or out comes the suspect who complies with the order to drop the weapon and surrender. But the scenario i explained was from several years ago but the same principal is being taught with this one I believe.
