  1. What is something like this used for?
  2. Just announced live from FDIC, Pierce has introduced a new chassis to their already impressive fleet, the Dash CF. Here is their Facebook page which is being updated right now from FDIC. Here are the first pictures of the new chassis from Finley Fire Equipment.
  3. Our FD recently purchased a new brush truck, it too has Urea.
  4. Great Link Seth. I really like the new Ferrara Ladders, I've been waiting and waiting to see what they will look like and to me they look dang good. I also like that HR from Elizabeth, NJ built by Crimson, that thing is one sharp HR.
  5. Seth, I'm not sure if you realized but that's the Captains seat looking towards the drivers seat, not the crew area. The crew area has the engine compartment going directly through it, from the video I posted it looked low enough to step over to get out on the opposite side but would be an inconvenience on firefighters. Another thing I noticed was the jump seats being close to the other seats across from it, from the video it looked like it would be a tight fit and there would be a enough leg room, but that's just what I thought from the video.
  6. This is the best view of the interior I found.
  7. Pierce uploaded some pictures of the Dash CF onto their Flickr.
  8. x635, Yes this is it! They also have a few videos on their YouTube. Check out Pierce's facebook, they have a really nice close up chot of the cab.
  9. That was the point, he said wouldn't an Amber LED with a Blue Lens Cover turn them green, the video was just to show that it doesn't turn them green.
  10. Nope, see this
  11. I came across this photo while checking new photos from my contacts on Flickr, the photo is from Ra11us. It shows what pressure gauges control what, Ive never seen anything like it before and Like it, what are your thoughts?
  12. or is it a new one to replace an older rescue? I looked at Ferrara's website and all the new Mack Rescues have the storgae behind the can and have painted wheels and say FDNY Rescue on the sides.
  13. Those are some sweet looking Squads, I love the idea of the 'Cool Bar' it's very innovative!!
  14. Beautiful Truck and great shot, Joe!
  15. Great looking truck!! I haven't ever seen a brand new front mount engine, a few FD's around here have some older (70's) trucks that are front mount though.
  16. I love it! Its got a fierce look to it, I am not however a big fan of the doors.
  17. What kind of lights are on H&L 1 where a Mars-888 would go?
  18. Quick Question, why were they laying on the air horns?
  19. By far the best and coolest ways to teach younger children about safety! Great shots x635!
  20. Down here we have both OnSpots and full chains that are always on every truck when winter rolls around. We cover mostly rural roads which have some hills but nothing major, the OnSpots work just fine for us (although we don't get near the average amount of snow you guys up north get) but we havent had a problem with them. Basically the main reason we went with OnSpots was becuase in order to get to our more rural settings we have to go through a few miles of highways which ODOT does a great job of keeping clean and like wraftery said earlier running full chains on dry roads can cause the chains to slip and break. It just proved to be a smatter move for us to try OnSpots out and they've worked good for us.
  21. Heres an episode of Ultimate Factories of NatGeo of Pierce Manufacturing. Its absolutely awesome to see how they build these trucks. The Link is to Hulu.com .
  22. They sure are. I myself was surprised to see 'em.
  23. Wow that was simply amazing that the firefighter didnt get hurt, being just feet away and that crazy explosion and he went right back to spraying after that!! I have just one question, did I see his mask hanging down before AND after the explosion? If thats what it actually was then why on earth wouldnt he step back and put on his mask before going at it again? But whats done is done and noone got hurt, THANK GOD!
  24. After reading about Ferrara starting production on the RM's for FDNY I went to thier (Ferrara) website to look for myself and discovered there are 3 or 4 rescues also in production. They are Walk-in rescues with the same cab as the new RM's.. also something I found funny was when I was looking at the new RM's I was thinking about them possibly having blue lights in the rear and when I saw the rescues have blue LED's in the rear, well I had a nice chuckle. http://ferrarafire.com/CustomerSupport/InProduction/InProduction.html
