    Welcome to the EMTBravo.com Buy/Sell/Trade Forum.

    These forums were created for the buying, trading, and selling of items within the membership of this board. By using this forum in any manner, you are agreeing to comply with these rules and indicate that you understand the rules.

    All transactions are at the risk of the buyer/seller/trader . EMTBravo.com is not responsible for non payers, lost items, lost payments, items not sent or any problem transactions between members. We advise you to use common sense when trading. Buyer beware. This is the Internet. Not everything and everybody may be as they seem. Deals that sound too good to be true probably are. Check for previous buyer/seller feedback. Keep track of all correspondence. Keep receipts. Consider going through auction/listing sites such as Ebay and using escrow services for payment. Such services offer more protection to both the buyer and seller.

    RULES

    1. Do not sell anything illegal or immoral
    2. Fire and EMS related items are preffered, other items may be posted as well. Anything deemed not appropriate will be deleted.
    3. Commercial B/S/T posts allowed by written consent of the board administrator only.
    4. Valid Email Address required
    5. Post a price for each item, and/or OBO.
    6. Post when the item is no longer available.
    7. If you have a several items for sale/trade, please try to keep everything summarized in one post
    8. Only two for buy/sell/trade posts will be permitted per week per user. More with moderator permission only.
    9. Group buys at the permission of the board administrator
    10. 'Bumping' of FS/FT posts is not permitted unless the item has had no response in over a month
    11. EMTBravo Forums disallows the posting for purposes of buying, selling, trading, or any other method of acquisition of badges, other official identification devices or documents, and any other material that could be used to aid in falsely identifying oneself.
    12. Anyone selling two way radios or other expensive technological emergency service equipment, MUST, at the request of the staff or purchaser, be able to provide how, when, and where the item was attained, the brand and model, and the serial number. If this information cannot be provided, the item cannot be posted.

    OBJECTS POSTED IN THE B/S/T ARE NOT SUBJECT OF DISCUSSION. If you have concerns about the item, please PM the seller.

    You must have 5 posts and be in good standing to use the B/S/T forum.

    NY10570, EMTBravo's May 2014 MOTM.

    Lenny Joyner AKA "NY10570" was one of the most active, popular, and respected members of this site, always making well-thought out posts with solid facts and interesting insight. His posts enlightened many and shared his knowledge from which many EMS providers on this forum learned from. There is a huge void that can never be filled without him on EMTBravo.

    His very last post on EMTBravo, the day before the accident: "Questioning for infectious diseases as part of medical history"

    Lenny Joyner was killed in a hiking accident in Colorado on or about July 19th, 2012. He was initially missing for several days before he was found by a helicopter search crew deceased after an 1,000 foot fall on July 24th at 31 years old. His last post on EMTBravo was on July 18th 2012. Members of EMTBravo expressed their prayers and support that he be found alive and express their reflections of his loss on this thread:

    Lenny was also was a well respected and distinguished Paramedic, known for his excellent clinical skills, serving with FDNY EMS Station 7, and a Volunteer Firefighter in Pleasantville. He was also an Eagle Scout. Before leaving for FDNY EMS, he was an EMT with WEMS. His ultimate goal was to become an FDNY Firefighter.

    We honor the memory of Lenny "NY10570" and reflect on him being one of the pillars of this forum by awarding him May's "Member Of The Month". We know he still visits the forum everyday from up there. He is missed by all, and we want to make sure his legacy is remembered forever, and his knowledge is still used by those is the future.

    Big thanks to the 43 members who have taken the survey so far......we look forward to hearing from more members...

    So far, based on the survey, these items will take place. Other survey responses are under consideration. Survey responses are still coming in, and we are learning from the and hope even more members will pitch in with their thoughts.

    • Re-establish Buy-Sell-Trade forum in a "Classifieds" format, so other members do not interfere with the seller and making posts to negatively question the item with the seller. It's not a discussion forum, it's a courtesy for our members to be able to sell non-commercial items of their to their targeted audience
    • Make navigation and search tools more prominent
    • Improve moderation to address "flaming" and conflict between members in threads
    • Work with members who forgot their log in information and are having trouble logging, or experiencing technical difficulties and automatically assume they are "banned"
    • Update cover photos more often
    • Investigate ways to improve Incident Alert section with several good ideas from the survey response
    • Add events to the events calendar module and improve integration with the site.
    • Rebuild the site's reputation that has been damaged by the slander and rumors spread by the "haters"
    • Find the members who made excellent posts who don't post anymore and encourage them to come back
    • -Stay The Couse" and don't change too much, just work on reviving the site
    • Develop a mobile "EMTBravo App" for iOS and Android phones
    • Highlight the good

    There recently has been a site policy enacted to ban the posting of news articles or other information relating to people affiliated with emergency services who get into trouble unrelated to their career or volunteer role.

    We feel threads such as the ones described above aren't appropriate for the forum and really have nothing to do with Emergency Services. Often, these threads just turn into a bash-fest, and are counterproductive.

    This community aims to build camaraderie and relationships, to promote inter-agency cooperation, share information and ideas, and highlight the emergency services community.

    Any new thread violating this new policy will be subject to deletion by the staff.

    Congrats to RWC130, EMTBravo's April 2014 MOTM.

    RWC130 has been a member of EMTBravo since it's inception. He found out while we chatting on an ancient technology called "AOL IM" (real time computer chat app) while I was living in Woburn, MA and he was in Peekskill about starting a website. I quickly whipped up something small, he was the first visitor and the second to sign up, making him "Member Number 2" It's his dream just as much as it is mine. His loyalty has never wavered.

    Throughout the 11 years of being members of the site, Rob has been a great advocate and champion for the site. He's been here during the great times, and the not so great time. He's developed numerous ideas that would help the site, and has promoted it in every way possible. Rob's nature makes the "Work Together - Win Together" motto of EMTBravo.com possible.
