  1. They will still be using the same terms but in codes. 10-88 CONTROL OF FIRE OR EMERGENCY CODE 1 - Doubtful will hold CODE 2 - Probably will hold CODE 3 - Will Hold CODE 4 - Under Control
  2. Heard from a reliable source that then Engines will be the Ferrara Ultra cabs, not sure about the tower ladders.
  3. I believe Squad 15 is oos so they're down an engine and can't send mutual aid until the squad is back so they bumped up Hartsdale and Fairview
  4. I saw a few yonkers police officers inside as I walked by
  5. I saw Tower Ladder 15 this morning responding in Fairview's Fire District to an inside odor of smoke on Juniper Hill , due to Fairviews Ladder being at kme for a new paint job. The FWD is back , I asked and apparently they got it back last week , and they bought Mount Vernons TL and will be keeping it as a reserve , I'm going to try and get up there soon and try to get a photo shoot of Hartsdale's Apparatus , If I do I will post the pic on here.
  6. I'm sure there's a post on here about this but I can't seem to find it , What's going on with Hartsdale TL-15 is it getting replaced ? At the moment it's using Ex-Mount Vernon Ladder 4 , and before that they had an older Seagrave Ladder , I forgot where from , but just curious about when and if it's getting replaced.
  7. I have a question about border line operations like on McLean Avenue in Yonkers or the Bronx River Parkway , FDNY & Yonkers FD both respond to A car accident on the parkway if it's on the city line , I believe it's FDNY Box 8940 or 8941 which normally is Engines 63 , 62 , Ladders 39 , 32 & Battalion 15 or 27 from the FDNY & Yonkers FD Engine 313 , Ladder 73 , Rescue 1 , Squad 11 & Battalion 2. I have pictures of them operating at an accident on Halloween last year. But now for McLean Ave , About 2 weeks ago I saw Engine 63 & 39 On the corner of Bronx River Road and McLean Ave , I asked 63 if they were drilling they said they were testing their fittings with Yonkers fittings on Yonkers hydrants , I don't think 39 Truck was doing the same they just parked the rig and went inside some building. I always see Units from Battalion 15 & 27 in Yonkers responding to Boxes or returning , Only a couple of times have I seen Yonkers Fire & FDNY together but I have pics. So does any one know if there is a plan for Border line operations ? Say there is a fire on E.240th Street in the Bronx , which is the same street as McClean , one side of the yellow line is E.240th which turns into Nereid Ave. & the other side is Mclean Ave.Is there some type of Response plan for that being that it really is the same street for both Departments to respond and whoever gets there first operates or FDNY takes it & Yonkers stands by , I live on Bronx River Road , so I was just wondering , as you can see I'm a big buff of both Yonkers FD & The FDNY.The first set of pics are from The Halloween accident on the Bronx River Parkway , but it was not 39 Truck that time 34 was acting 39 for the day & second are from when 63 & 39 were in Yonkers checking different fittings than they left to go to Mount Vernon.
  8. I heard it was Amtrak's 40th Anniversary & they had acela on the tracks , It was pretty cool.
  9. Oh ok , thanks guys, I just always notice that they have a spare a lot , well not in a while but it happens a lot.
  10. Engine 313 has a 2002 American La France Engine , I believe they have the oldest Front Line rig in service in the Dept. Is there a reason why they have not gotten a replacement ? Thanks.
  11. Wow , are you serious ? How fast were they going ? PD should set up something there to stop them , What was the date ? Maybe there was an accident that they were 'Responding' to. I can't believe they are still doing this.
  12. I know it's been serving them for a while , I've been wanting to get a picture of it , So here it is along with Engine 169 , The second pic is just a close up of The E-One from the first. Why does it still Have Mount Vernon & Ladder 4 markings on it ? Even the Mount Vernon Fire Logo.
  13. Here is a pic I got of it today , It still has Mount Vernon markings on it.
  14. Don't get another Blackberry , In about a year they are going to be shut down , they are not doing good at all.
  15. I saw them on the Bronx River Parkway when I was headed to the Triborough to The Airport don't think they were Reponding though just riding Northbound on the BRP & this Fire Patrol you speak of could it be this ? http://www.facebook.com/pages/Independence-Volunteer-Fire-Co-4-Bronx-Volunteer-Fire-Patrol/246739438669464\ I've seen these guys all around Soundview with hats and I saw like 4 of them in A Black ford Pickup truck # teens and 1 large man and they had t-shirts on that said Independence Volunteer Fire Co. #4
  16. I have no problem with any Firefighters , Volunteer , Paid etc .. But I just think it's an idiotic idea to open up a Volunteer Fire House in The Bronx or any of the 5 Boroughs where there are 3 Firehouse Close to this VFD house (Engine 96,Ladder54,Engine 64,Ladder 47, & Engine 94,Ladder 48,Battalion 3) The whole Third Battalion. I also believe Cassano is right they don't have the Right Training or Equipment , They could be trained but Not FDNY trained. They have about 3 Vehicles now ,An ALF Engine & 2 ESU type trucks , & I heard they are getting 3 more Vehicles , It's not necessary , say they buy a tower ladder & they 'Respond' to a Fire they raise they're bucket up & it stalls What's 54 , 47 , or 48 going to do ? Go around the block ?? Or if they're Engine hooks up to a hydrant 96 , 64 0r 94 going to do ? People are going to die if they get in the way! I agree with The FDNY's order , SHUT DOWN!

  19. Tonight I drove past Hartsdale Fire Station 2 HQ and I looked inside the apparatus door and I saw The older Mount Vernon 100' Aerial Ladder with the Bucket & Did not see the old Hartsdale LAdder 49 anywhere not even in the back of the lot , any word on what happened to it I know it had a MVA a while back but I thought it was fine and back in service.
