  2. That and if 7 , a super and say 3 and 3 all get Gassed , and collapse , or get gassed and have to evac the center ..THEN WHAT?? it says they were only "down" 3 or so minutes (yeah right...) In some places Leaving "A" to GET to "B" (like the EOC) if its located away isnt going to happen and be set up in 3 or 10 minutes....Lots of Things to consider....

  3. awe common, That post also said Danbury was the last place to use A firefighter Or cop to dispatch In the whole country too,.... You cannot believe A word the media says as it is..., MUCH less NOW they outight Lie about stuff

You cant blame anyone except the "journalist" for the "big words" they use or use in place of the ones' they dont understand..... I am not sure about getting a ticket for dispatching too fast, I do know Its a good idea to have a cuff key when The cops decide to cuff you to the console...

  4. The Civilian Public Safety Dispatchers are the Norm through out the entire state, Danbury is one of 2 Maybe 3 Juristictions who have yet to civilianize communications 100%...

"Who are your Qualified candidates?" Hahaha Are YOU serious? What qualifications do you think you need? and How does one get qualified? You make it sound Like Patton needs to come back from the dead, To approve your qualifications... Its answering a freakin phone.... 9-1-1 whats the emergency ? really isnt that big a deal training and certification to the standards set forth by the State are the qualifications... and to prove it....

You can't get qualified unless YOUR agency sends YOU and You cant get an Agency unless Your qualified HAHAHAHA

New Haven, CT Hose Wagon Accident, Nov 1899

Funeral Was Held From St. Patrick's Church This Morning.

JEREMIAH F. REGAN, the fireman, who met a tragic death on Monday when he was thrown from the seat of a hose wagon, No. 8, was buried this morning after services at St. Patrick's church. There was a large attendance at the services which included members of the fire board, representatives of the various organizations to which the late fireman belonged, members of the fire department and from the state organization of the firemen. From the State Firemen's Association there were present at the services, President George Pitt of Middletown, Secretary John B. Jones of Westport, and Edward Davis, of Hartford, member of the executive board of the state association. From the late residence of the deceased, 877 State street, the body was escorted to St. Patrick's church by a detail of 20 firemen under Captain Charles H. O'Neill. A solemn requiem high mass was celebrated by the Rev. Father O'Connell spoke of the sudden death of the fireman while in the performance of his duty and of his faithfulness as a member of the department.

During the mass James S. Gettings, a fireman attached to Company No.4, sang a solo. There were a number of floral pieces, one from the Firemen's Benevolent Association, being a pillow, and cross with initials of the association upon it. The firemen of Company No. 8 sent a pillow with "Companion, Company No.8," upon it. Besides these there were other floral tributes sent by other organizations.

The flower bearers were: Henry J. Donnelly of the detective bureau; Francis McCabe, William Moakley, James J. Guncheon, Andrew Flannagen and Mr. Regan. The Pallbearers, all firemen, were Lieut. Lindsey, Lieut. Barrows, Philip Reilly, William Lutz, James Redmond, William Foote, and Irving Hamilton. The interment was in St. Lawrence cemetery.

Today the following resolutions were adopted by the Firemen's Benevolent association:

Whereas, Jeremiah Regan was a faithful and conscientious fireman in all the duties assigned to him; whatever he done he prided himself in doing well.

Resolved. That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the family of [ineligible] late associate, and that these resolutions be spread upon the records of our association.

  6. seems the cold water challenge wasnt "bad" enough, That Many people prefer to pour flammible liquids on themselves, ignite it and then hope the plan works, as far as extinguishing the fire... over the summer so fear a few injuries have occured ( a 16 yo with 2nd degree burns In Illinois, and so on,,,

    stupid YouTube crap here

A 20-year-old American exchange student in Germany had to be rescued after he was trapped in a six-foot vagina statue, NBC News reported. Twenty-two rescue workers were called up for the “extraordinary rescue mission.” The student became stuck while posing for a photo with the female genitalia replica in the southern city of Tuebingen. "We were able to pull the victim out with our bare hands after about 30 minutes,"

a local fire department squad leader told NBC News.

  13. My intent By posting this was to show you something That You may honestly Come in contact with in the future as 1st responders, while the intent is singular behind it, how much future potential of a hostage situation inside a room like this, use of the device allows ALOT of flex ability In the door, Maybe too much To force with Our compliment of typical tools The Irons Might work well with a few 4x4's to crib and Tighten up a Bite on the door, even the Jaws Might need to be cribbed to get a bite... posting this wasnt a political statement, These teachers see this as a Potential Life safety device Just like your Pass Device is Yours, on one hand this Seems Like it Could help, as long as you realize while some wont defeat the device, it May be a LOT easier to defeat then they believe...Depending on various factors ... Thats all
