EMS command launched 1st medevac for the patient in and out of conciousness, patient transported by 201 and 892 Medic to LZ at Georgia Pacific to meet medevac. 2nd medevac originally launched after consulting with Care1 809, but was canceled by 809 upon their arrival. 2nd patient transported to Saint Anthony's ER by 202 and 809.
  2. First, I must say nice job to Mr. Woebse, it's nice to see an agency and the upper level management stick up for it's employees. Mobile life seems to be a class act and a great example of what an agency should be. As for Mr. Adamis, I must say I like his defense, "we meant it literally, so it's okay."
  3. Apparently, as of today, the Hudson Valley REMSCO has suspended all Care 1 ALS services in the Hudson Valley region based on complaints from the NYS DOH. I don't know if this is also occuring in the other regions that Care 1 services. In Orange County it appears that Mobile Life will be covering the Care 1 coverage area until further notice.
  4. Not to comment on what the fire fighters did, but it seems to me that the fire department supervisors and the City of Clevland droped the ball here. First not fire department supervisor realised that these guys were gone this much and never filling in? Secondly, The one guy was getting a paycheck from the fire department and the school district at the same time, there was never a point that anybody ever noticed this or that he popped up twice in a computer system somewhere?
  5. The link isn't working, but it appears there's a problem with the whole Port Authority website
  6. I would assume that they will try an find a new partner. While they may not need to run medevac calls, I assume they will still be running as a rescue helicopter doing hoist operations, since apparently the next closest equipped helicopter is NYPD. As far as I was aware, the mobile life crew members were trained in the hoist rescue, so that would mean that NYSP would need to add at least on additional crew member on the crew to operate the hoist, and in addition, I would think they'd want medical personel on a rescue helicopter.
  7. Leatherman is apparently going to release a trauma shear multi tool with EMS based tools included this summer. Preorder has the tool at $69.99. I personally like leatherman tools and will probably get one when they come out http://www.leatherman.com/product/Raptor Preorder: http://narescue.com/portal.aspx?CN=B074848DA32B

  14. Yes, it is the same Maybrook. They don't currently have anything assigned to the 210 slot, so it might be an addition, but their site also has there engine 218, a 1990 Ward La France/Pemfab as retired, so it might be replacing 218.
  15. Last I heard, the EMT-I level in New York was going to be phased out and all EMT-Is were either going to have to go back to EMT-B or move upward to EMT-CC. I also haven't seent any programs for EMT-I since May.
  16. First they'll say that the U.S. Marshalls and CNPD shouldn't have come into the house, the same way they shouldn't have chased his brother into the house. Second, they claimed that the officers should have tazed Michael Lembhard when he was trying to kill them with a kitchen knife, so I guarentee tazing this guy cause he tried to run will be excessive force. I also find it funny that the lawyer felt the need to come to the scene, he probably wanted to witness everything so he can prepare for this new round of screw the police with this family.
  17. I don't know if you could call it a hoax, more like little kids who didn't understand the importance of what they were saying. The police went back and interviewed the children again and they had the same story, but this time one of the little girls said that the same men followed her home another day, and then broke down the door to get inside so they could get her, which was clearly untrue.
  18. It's supposed to be 2 small trucks and the heavy rescue per squad, with two detectives on each of the three rigs plus a seargent on the heavy rescue. there's 10 regular patrol squads, so that would make it 30 trucks per shift, plus squad 11, which runs out of the ESU academy/headquarters as a backup unit, and is staffed by the training personnell and administrators. They've probably added on more smaller trucks to run special details, such as counterterrorism.
  19. Date: 7/31/12 Time: 22:30 Location:Lakes Road with Crosses of Lisa Way and Jarmain Road Frequency:158.820, 151.3935, 46.300, 46.40 Units Operating: Town of Warwick PD (204, 215), GLFD (full department), GLVAC (365) Care 1 EMS (811, 806) Life Net (air 2) Weather Conditions: Dark, warm Description Of Incident: 1 car roll over with entrapment into a brook with one patient, entrapped. Patient extricated and transported to the greenwood lake CVS parking lot to meet air 2. Care 1 811 originally assigned to the MVA with 806 going to a second call in Greenwood Lake's district, but 811 reassigned to the second call and 806 reassigned to the MVA due to their locations and the severity of the calls. Reporters: EMT111
  20. The key words there are no "reported" injuries. I know of at least two incidents this summer involving staff members who got caught up in the lifts for the inflatable tubes and got lifted 20' in the air, and one of them fell off the lift 15' up.
  21. Hey guys, has anyone who took the Philadelphia PD test on May 19th gotten their results back yet? The list was supposed to be published sometime last week, but I have not heard anything from them yet. I'm also a little bit confused as to whether or not they're mailing the results or sending them via e-mail, since they said everything was going to be done through e-mail, but the application says they're mailing them, so the post office might just be taking a while. I was just wondering if anyone heard yet.
  22. Why wouldn't they charge her with interfering with police duties, or whatever the the similar charge in Texas? I would guess that the reason this woman is riding a bike is cause her license got suspended or revoked due to DWIs or outstanding tickets or something and she's just sore at the police. I also guarantee that this blog and the woman would be the first people yelling if some kid got killed at that spot by someone speeding. As for searching her bag without consent, clearly they've never heard of the lunge able area exception or an inventory search for when you go to jail.
  23. 4 houses and a gas line
  24. I wanna say they were originally sent to standby at Engine 2, Warwick FD was standing by Engine 4 with an engine.
