Seth, I don't know how much help it will be to you but I know Croton Point Park has a section for rv's and campers with electric hookup. I'm not certain about water though. Sorry to hear about your health and financial situation. I hope that your health improves and you are able to make a full recovery.

Edit: it does have water hook up as well as electric.

I am VERY sorry to hear about your illness, losing your job and everything else!! I am glad you are moving back to NY, but I wish it was under better/different circumstances. You were at Granite Springs Firehouse, which houses the new Tower Ladder 18, and Engine 185. In the rear it houses E-182.
Somers FD has 4 stations. Lincolndale, which houses U-89, Tanker 16, E-183, 80B3,B2,B1, Rescue 20, Rescue 38, Marine 22, Utility 5 and Utility 81 U35, U34 outside. Another house is Amawalk, which houses Engine 188 and Engine 181. Somers House houses MA 14, Ladder 48, U88, E-180.
I am not sure if that is completely right, but the last time I checked it was that.

i recently was going to traditions over in somers, and saw the bay doors open on the firehouse. i stopped in to say hi and a very nice older man showed me around it was very pleasant.
my question is what firehouse was that? what trucks were there and how many stations and trucks do they have? how many in each station?

16:00- P'ville toned out for an engine to the scene.
16:01- Battalion 11 updates exterior attack- Master stream being set up A.T.T.
16:08- White Plains FD o/s.
16:10- C&O Zone 3 requested to the scene.
16:11- C&O Zone 3 dispatched to landline 60.
16:22- 60 updates: Hawthorne FD was dispatched for a smoke condition. Battalion 11 stated it was from fire they're operating at.
16:25- Battalion 11 requesting status of C&O. 60 control advises 3 members have called in.
16:26- Batt. 11 updates: Units operating. Fire out of the windows, small part of roof @ 16:24
16:35- Con Ed o/s
17:05- Batt. 11 updates overhaul in progress- fire under control at this time. Units are holding on scene.

So thats how all of these chiefs update so quickly at a fire!

Location: On Lake road proper- Closest intersection Orchard Hill Rd.
Frequency: 46.26, Somers FD Dispatch, Fireground 1
Units Operating: Somers FD, Somers EMS, WEMS, Medevac, NYSP
Weather Conditions: Wet
Description Of Incident: Somers FD/EMS NYSP dispatched for a reported MVA W/ extrication IAO above. 80b3 signed on moments after. Lieutenant 185 arrived on scene, updated serious accident, extrication will be needed. Approx 10 minutes later, several units were on scene. IC updated they will be needing Medevac. Approx. 4 minutes later, Somers dispatch updated Medevac was unable to go airborne due to the weather. Shortly after 80B3 was going Advanced to Westchester Medical Center with 1 pt in critical condition. Units remained on scene for approx. 3 hours. Units were clear by 5:10am.

Thanks for posting this. I have learned over the years just how much it means to me. I saw a lot of people with the flag flying today, I respect all who do. I also saw firetrucks hanging it on the back, getting dyed black from the diesel exhaust, but it's still flying!
