Weather Conditions: Clear
Description Of Incident: Working fire in a 2 story structure, fire showing upon arrival.
Reporters: firedude, Larchmont_Boy
11:23: Batt. 13 update: 2 story wood frame 20x20 Con Ed Electric on scene. Also have ladder ops in affect, 3 L/S/O A.T.T.
11:26- Batt 13 requesting another FAST team to the scene.
11:27 Yorktown FAST dispatched.
11:28- 2281 requesting Red Cross to the scene, 8 adults 2 children.
11:35 Yorktown unable to fill the FAST assignment, Ossining FAST now requested
11:37: Ossining 2331 assembling FASTeam
11:39- Chappaqua Rescue 23 responding
11:45- All units still operating- Batt. 13 requesting if Ossining has assembled their crew yet.
11:46: Rescue 23 on scene.
11:47- Red Cross on scene.
11:50: As for 2281- fire under control, still using all units on scene.
Any Information regarding times and updates past 11:50 would be much appreciated. I was unable to listen any further.

Saw it from Hudson River in Riverdale by west 254 st looked spectacular, flew north turned around and headed south over us again.

Indeed Go to your profile, and go to the bottom left, you will see multiple tabs there, there will be one that says "Likes" click that one, and then you will be brought to the ones you have given out. If you don't want that, go to the top right (Of that box) and it will say, "Given & Recieved" press recieved, and that will take you to all of your posts, and it will show the person who liked it on the bottom right of the post.

Not to bug you with more repuatation box posts again, but it used to say "excellent" or "building a reputation" i liked that feature on our profiles. I was just thinking new to the site members may view our profiles, and see a green box with a number in it, it always used to have writing in it, so I am not sure if its a mistake or something left out.

What you are looking at is the called the dog box or as others refer to it the dog house. Some of us are very fond of that old setup.

Ladder 55- 1999 Pierce

The above photo I found interesting when I saw it in the ladder, it has the engine right to the right of the seat, and then a small seat "packed" in there... I have never seen that before in a ladder. Very interesting...

I was invited to visit Elmsford FD the other day, thought i'd share some photos that I got, not too many.. I didn't bring one of my Nikon's, so these photos are based off of my IPhone, which can sometime take good pictures, and sometimes not...
This (larger) picture is Elmsford FD's TL 21- A 1993 Pierce Arrow.

I got the chance to get a picture of a FDNY Battalion chief. I personally think these are the nicest Battalion trucks yet, down there.

It's people like those commentators that makes you want to hunt them down and smack the with the stupid stick. Instead of all the criticism they should join a fire department and find out why it takes the time to do the things "that take so long"
5 minutes for an engine to get there is good. I don't know how far they had to travel to get there or what day of the week or time of day but 5 minutes is very acceptable.
Very unfortunate that they had 1 firefighter to be in gear to do the job but he did the job and I was glad to see him "on air".

Routine drill? Really? What agency has enough money to set fire to a BMW?

I am vacationing in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina ( approximately 10 miles south of Myrtle Beach) and a different engine is outside of this firehouse is Garden City daily. I could not find what engine number this is, but it seems in good shape for the age it is. I believe it is still in service, although engine and ladders were responding right past it from the other bay doors every so often.
This is the only photo I have of it, but I plan on photographing other stations apparatus throughout the week.

Was a well known place- very good food also. Some photos below.

Interesting, I like the Idea. But it seems that the YHFD Commissioners have their mind set that they need a 3rd Station.
Today, there was a smoke condition at 1594 Croton Lake Road. It's 3 driving miles from Station 2 and 4.5 driving miles from the proposed station 3. They struggled to get 2 engines to the scene, 1 came from each station. And one of the trucks was driven by a chief. They had to call in a mutual aid engine and tanker from croton. I'm not going to make an opinion until I see real facts but by the looks of it, a third station will not work for them.
