  1. When we get toned out and there are "no reported symptoms," it is for that reason.. no reported symptoms. When the alarm company calls and nobody answers that is the report we get. There is always the potential that the occupier is unconscious and cannot reach the phone. You just never know, and that chance is why we respond with urgency unless informed otherwise.
  2. Doesn't even seem real.. An unbelievable tragedy. Carry on in heaven, brothers.
  3. Ability to do the job should stand above gender. Different standards for men and women are ridiculous. If you can do it, you can do it. If you can't, you can't.
  4. Fantastic video. Wish there were more like it. God bless our heroes.
  5. Like it or not the photographer wasn't acting illegally. Bystanders will always be curious to see what's going on with all the bells, whistles and other activity that emergencies create. All personnel should be trained to appropriately deal with these types of situations at all levels.
  6. Fought a brush fire on Friday afternoon, brush rakes and indian packs were the method until the situation was placed under control. Our mutual aid engine stretched appx. 200 ft of 1" forestry hose to cool off hotspots. We didn't need a brush truck for the incident but I could see where they might come in handy in other parts.
