  3. Not coming from an EMS background I have very little knowledge of Narcan. Anyone care to explain to reasoning behind not letting EMT's or other first responders carry it? What are the side effects of it, or the dangers of it being used when its not an overdose?

  16. So, because the dispatch didn't specify that the patient had meningitis they decided not to use proper PPE? Do they only use PPE if a certain danger is specified by the dispatch ? Do we just assume now that as long as the caller doesn't mention anything, the victim must be perfectly healthy and therefore we're safe from HIV, Hepatitis etc ?
  17. According to the link, written exam is scheduled for Saturday September 14th. Oral is scheduled for the week of November 11th.
