  2. That kind of thing seems like it can happen anywhere, take Westchester Ave for example on how many towns it goes thru, now imagine you are not from the area and don't know the difference... unfortunate situation indeed.
  3. Dish hasnt had either channel for quite sometime, anyone in Fairfield County that has cablevision can watch ch 25, its not HD but shows the fox sports games that are aired.

  8. Whats even more sad is how over time people become more and more used to situations like these, they seem less suvere and ignore the root cause of the problem and do nothing to solve it!
  9. About 2 or 3 years ago we had to assist EMS to remove a 790lb person from their small cramped studio apartment. Took 10 or so personnel to assist.

Guys/Gals, Was able to get some photos (taken via Blackberry sorry for quality issues) of the multi-alarm fire City of London Fire Brigade had while I was at work in our UK office there 2 weeks ago.   17. Most likely hazmat as they said above, they had a few gas cylinder explosions around 6:30am. The fire took out 2 buildings which took up almost the entire city block.
  18. Ladies and Gents, The CT Post offered an interesting article about a person who was tracked down and ticketed for failure to yield to a responding firetruck. Just curious to know is this more common then we think, where someone gets a ticket or perhaps if incidents like this were more publicized it would encourage motorists to be a tiny bit more aware of their surroundings?   19. We had a similar incident that exposed about 12 or so firefighters to hazardous chemicals at a dumpster fire last summer, thankfully everyone was geared up properly and the exposure did not cause serious injuries to any one including the homeowners and neighbors.

  21. Usually have to visit the one on 51st and 3rd in the city during lunch, now its only 3 mins from my apt. not bad! Have to watch out for the "chipotle hangover" afterwards tho, burrito bowls cause suvere drowsiness especially after returning to work !
