  1. I am glad that truck was spared, you can see it at the home in Hudson.
  2. In that case, first due chauffer should be IC.
  3. DO LTs really need numbers?
  4. Jack, I am receiving the Bee Line system. I think that I have everything set up correctly. Should this be happening?
  5. My opinion is that although only the three chiefs might have a town issued vehicle, they should be the only ones with a car number. It will keep less radio traffic.
  6. I dont drink coffee.
  7. I know times are tough, but someone fron Mt Vernon NEEDS TO BUY THIS. It is a true BARN FIND. Dont let this go to waste!
  8. Thanks for coming Izzy, you will never be the same man again.
  9. Lyndhurst Museum wood shop, Eng 86? Sleepy Hollow and Irvington Fast Team Rescue#?
  10. What pictures!
  11. Great job guys, looks like an old Bee line bus.
  12. I love the polar bears , but PLEASE DRILL HERE!
  13. That decision is up to the Chief of the department. If they chose to send the spare, they can have the career ff drive it and turn for home when he hits Rt 1. Port Chester will have TL2 manned back at HQ if needed. I have seen Harrison have their career ffs drive rigs in the past.
  14. Steve, plain and simple. You could have an automatic mutual aid dual response. Some departments are doing this already. It is not a long term solution or a quick fix, just a place to start at.
  15. Just an update for you Truckie. Ladder 25 went down today with might be a major problem and wont be around for the parade.
  16. Rye Brook and Rye could co exist since they are both small departments and share a small boundary
  17. Goose, Port Chester is too strong a department to join in something like this. Maybe when the contract with Rye Brook expires, they might listen to this proposal.
  18. Do you want me to write Paul a letter too?
  19. Steve as you know, I was in that department many moons ago. If the bell rang, the ff called upstairs to let everyone know of an alarm. I was told this practice no longer happens. ( If I am wrong, let me know) Wouldnt you think that a lone ff would want the extra response? I know it was difrerent back then. Thats why I agree that they need help. The city will not hire 4 ffs at a time. It just wont happen. They need a better planned attack, not just at contract time.
  20. I wasnt going to chime in on this but what the heck. First of all, some of these now paid ff's are the same ones that bashed the staff when they were volunteers. They are their own worst enemy. I will agree that they need more staffing, but bashing and complaining will only get them so far. In my opinion, you need to ask for a glass of milk at a time not the whole cow. I am sorry to say that it will probably take a loss of life will change things. I cant comment on the big wigs in City Hall, I wish I could.
  21. I had chronic bronchitis for months.
