  1. This is just the start of it all. If all goes well with dispatching Tuckahoe PD other small towns and villages may look to this option also. There are also rumors that the county pd is absorbing the mt kisco pd sometime soon. On a dispatcher's side of this minimum manpower should be increased at the wcpd due to already increased work loads. You have to consider officer safety as well as even using two channels for radio traffic if this occurs
  2. Many people get the job as a dispatcher and use it as a stepping stone. They then end up going to the FD,PD or even Corrections. Depending on where you go the job varies. The hours are long but there is a lot of time off as well. And again as touched upon earlier the pay that they give us is not enough for what we have to do.
