Great post, I think often of this tragedy. May we all remember forever the lessons learned by this. Was this not one of the startingfactors for Critical Stress Management as we know it today?

Radio Shack PRO97. I programmed it with te Starscan. software which works directly off radioreference.com It is a trunking scanner which works very well with Westchester County system. I have the Diamond RH77CA antenna which works great! I recommend that to anybidy with a portable scanner. I have the rechargable bateries and power supply. It seems to get everything I want it to plus a whole lot more! It's a GREAT scanner!I bought the full year subscription to both, and have programmed them for others, and had to reprogram them as well. I keep the info saved on my laptop.

We've been dealing with Gowans Knight for many ears. They are a small company, but they take pride in what thy build, the service is excellent, they are quite close, Watertown Conneticut isn't much more than an hour from Croton Falls, and if we need them to, they will come to either firehouse and make minor repairs.

SWEET!!!!!!!! Good luck with it, Chief!!!!!
-
AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!

That's the sad part--Turf and Ego! All that crap should be left at headquarters when it involves something that has great potential to save lives! JMHO
-
I must say I agree with what the Chief did, as well. Ok, so the victims weren't treated by a medic in the vehicle, get them out and bring them a few yards from the hot zone to the waiting medic. Just because the medic could not enter the hot zone he/she can wait outside for extrication to be cmpleted

I don't think anybody is talking about "fluffing their departments. I believe that the question at hand has more to do with the degree of involvement, no matter what's on fire. I don't see any need for a comment like that.. Let's keep this thread heading in a positive direction. Nuff Said.
