Well the Shell on North B'way in North White is charging more for using a credit card. Must have just started. He always had the cheepest price around and long lines, but what i saw driving down B'way not anymore. Also the large sign with the prices on them are for cash price only. It is printed in small letters on the top.cash price.So if you are driving by and you se that pull in with CC in hand, surprise!!! !10 cent more a gallon buddy!!!If the oweners claim that they have to pay so much in fees to the CC companys then why are we hearing about it now!!I think it been 10 years since I have seen the Cash, Credit card price. No more Shell for me.

True, but tell both sides of the report. We had a fire once in an apt building and when they interviewed the women all she did was bad mouth the FD. We toke to long to get there, The building was down the street from the firehouse. That 5 Grand in Russian money was missing. What they didn't report was she and her husband tried to put the fire out before calling the Fd and left to door opend when they ran out of the apt.

I 2nd that!!!! I see in the post it said EMT on-scene wanted Stat Flight, was the EMT there with the bus/crew or got to the scene frist? Either way that was a good call to get the bird in the air. you saved time. And if you see Stat Flight did have a problem but they got it fix. Good job on all that was involed. Those calls are always the worst. Lets keep the crew and all invold in are prayers too.

Don't know if this was covered before or not. I would like to know what terms are set to post or to be called "Working Fire". I mean its a fire, or its not a fire. Take the post for Arlington FD(Not to pick on the post) But it was a grill on fire inside the kitchen. Is that a working fire? Is a garbage can outside on fire next to a house a working fire? Is a car fire is a working fire? Just wondering

Yes, If it is going to save me my job. Look what happened here! I work part time in a ER in the Bronx, and PD brings them all the time. Its a smart move on their part b/c now its the ER problem. Hang a banana bag, do some blood work and let them sleep if off.

Nice pictuers!!!!!!!!!!! How far into the call was the 1st photo taken? All I see up there is a cop(no gear, no harness, no Bsi) Is the jack stable to have people on it at that time? If so, how did you guys stabilize that? Looks like it would a be hard one!!! Not saying anytthing is wrong with the cop up there, But as the IC and the way the jack is, I am thinking I want the only people that are trained only the ones you need.(Medics and people trained to package and ropes)Hey I don't how they run in West Nyack maybe the cop has all that training. I know people want to help and get into the action thats great. I see all the time where I work and I think one day somebody is going to get hurt.

The West Nyack Fire Department was also dispatched to the scene on AMA due to a majority of officers/manpower being up at the Chiefs Convention in Lake George. Thats great!!!!!!!

Why? Because itsn't a $600 grand Engine? It is an engine, it pumps water and brings ff,s to the call. We all can't have the nice big red fire truck to drive around in!!!!!! Did you look at the Depts web site? Did you see what they had and have to work with? Not all depts out there have the $600 grand plus engines and the $900 grand trucks or the multi millon dollar fire houses. Looks like that engine will do them good and give them years of service!!!!!! You work with what you have or what they give you.

OK. So I was leaving Lake George on Thursday was up there from last week. I saw alot of chief's trucks from all over the state of NY and NJ too. So my ? is, With the gas being over $4 a gallon and Lake George a good trip upsate, in a truck that gets 18 miles to the gallon,who pays for the gas? And before anybody say that it was for the show, I saw them driving around town,and that was on Wednesday (show was Thurs to Sun)and at night familys getting out of them to go to eat. I even saw some parked at Great Escapes on Thursday during the day when the Chief show was going on!! I know some citys and town have taken PD cars from cops that would take them home after there shift. They are also being told to turn the cars off when on calls. Will the FD do the same?

I second that!!!!! I can hear it now when they get this person! I didn't see them or I didn't know I hit anything. Also I bet they don't have a license. Now this poor guy is paralyzed from the neck down!!!!!!!! He got hit from a car on the wrong side of the road. Both cars crossed the yellow line.

In one report when they gave the Depts at the fire they said the Universal Studios fire Dept. Do they have an FD are they a part of LA County FD? I remeber seeing them when I took the tour.

Anybody have a list of parades in Westchester? Who is having the County Parade and when? Thanks
