  2. Today the world lost a friend and great paramedic...Rich Quigley! My prayers and thoughts are with his family tonight. My thoughts are also with his co-workers at Transcare and DCSO. Rest in Peace! -George
  3. Pray for a fast recovery...on the other hand I heard Beekman FD and Transcare did an outstanding job on scene. Last I heard he has a massive head injury with three skull fractures and two bleeds. Still at SFH in Pok. Only 3 days on the job...what a shame! If anyone else has info please share. STORY
  4. I guess this says it all... http://poughkeepsiejournal.com/article/200...0320/1006\
  5. Thanks for protecting my house and family...Good Luck on the Retirement! George
  6. EMS Rumor mill has Beekman and Pawling going with Transcare as of the first of the year.
  7. Ok I will give a quick run down of what is happening on the NDP side. I have been reading the posts over the last couple of days and I have to say I’m not shocked by any means. People will come up with all kinds of rumors and statements, which most of them are not true and some of them are true. At the 11th hour Health-Quest (HQ) changed the contract on Ed and Rob. From the start our owners stated they would not give up their company and have it run by HQ (or any other company). I think it is fair to say HQ wanted no part of running an ambulance business and now they do. From the meetings I have attended and the employees I have spoken to, they were glad the merger was going through. Of course you will have some employees who did not like the merger, which is 100% fair and understandable. Ed and Rob poured a lot of time into this merger and for Health Quest to back out at the last minute I believe is very unfair…but business will be business. Till this day NDP will stay NDP and Alamo will stay Alamo. For one I will say I think it is a mistake, Alamo has a great group of Managers, Supervisors, Medics and EMT’s. I know I am upset it is not going through. Time will only tell what will happen next. I wish the best for the Alamo staff and look forward to working with them in the future as we have been in the past. I have worked for NDP EMS over the last 4 years and I only can tell you that Ed and Rob are very committed to their company and employees. It is a pleasure to work with them and for them. Instead of making senseless comments on a web site why don’t you call and ask your questions. We are OPEN 24/7 now and forever. Thanks, George NDP Dispatch Supervisor **NDP EMS Admin staff has not approved this message! (For all you political buffs)
  8. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!
  9. Congrats Mike...I always knew you would make a big difference in the world! Keep up the good job. Your past mid-night chess partner.
  10. On that note and since tomorrow is Veterans Day, THANK YOU all USA, USN, USMC, USAF, USCG. And Happy B-Day to the Corps!
  11. Is the rumor true or false…Empire (a.k.a. Hudson Valley Paramedics) is taken over or merging with Regional EMS (Orange Co. Division)?
  12. ACLS OCTOBER 14 & 15 2008 9a-5p Pre-course materials must be completed prior to class Disc available in text PALS NOVEMBER 11 & 12 2008 9a-5p Pre-course materials must be completed prior to class Disc available in text All classes being held at: NDP EMS Headquaters 3 Hook Rd Map of NDP EMS HQ Rhinebeck, NY 12572 845-876-0338 ext 22 Cost per class $150.00
  13. Ok I would agree with you on that but Empire already holds a CON for Orange Co. so why would a company that already holds a license for Orange Co. write a check for $250K-$300K for a license they already hold? If this is true please someone explain that logic. Was Regional losing money or just time to regroup and evaluate business needs?
  14. Good luck and love the paint job. If you could post more pictures of the back and inside, would love to see them.
  15. Very true Northern Dutchess Paramedics name is NDP EMS due to the expanded area of coverage, i.e. - Columbia County. If you have noticed alot of agencies do not put Paramedic on thier trucks any more...MLSS trucks use to read "PARAMEDIC UNIT". Now most of them read Mobile Life Support Services.
  16. Hope for a speedy recovery. God Bless you and your family.
  17. In this photo I notice the typical NYPD logo is not on the front fender, can anyone tell me what logo that is? Also on the upper Manhattan truck I notice that on the hood it reads "HAR2LEM" instead of "POLICE". Is this the only truck that has a different decal on the hood? Thanks for your help, trying to build a diecast NYPD ESU truck, just have to pick the decals and which truck number to put on it. George
  18. R.I.P. and speedy recovery for all other officers involved!
  19. Wow, Nice truck. Just wish someone would tool a new model so I could make it into a diecast replica. Thanks for the picture.

  23. I would just like to say that I have worked for Ed and Rob at NDP for the last 3+ years and it has been nothing but a joy to work for them. They are the most down to earth people I know. Congrats to NDP and Alamo (HQ)...lets keep up the great work.
  24. My father belonged to West Hamilton Beach VFD for years. He never said anything about not getting along with FDNY...but we never really talked that much. I heard that they were used for rehab and overhaul? Maybe I'm wrong.
