  3. Nice looking rig, good luck with it. Question though, How did you get away with the air horns on the roof? Are the functional or just decoration?
  4. We are using the liquid version now. The refrigerators at the stations were modified to have a"lock box" and the stock is kept in there. We place one vial out in the medic bags, at a time, and replace it every 30 days. It does have a shelf life of 30 days if not refrigerated. Seems to be working fine, not that we use it all of the time. This solution may not work everywhere but it is working here.
  5. Hey All I have been going crazy trying to find a place or a online site where I can purchase embroderied name tags, or whatever else you want to put on it. I also looking for the larger ones for the back of job shirts and such. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  14. Any County cannot deny you access or registration to a "State" course. The can however deny you to a " County" course. I ran into this problem a couple of years ago, being from Putnam and trying to take a class in Westchester. The answer I recieved form the state was what I mentioned above. This could of changed but I dont think it has.

  18. West Harrison F.D. gives high honor beloved WEST HARRISON - The town of West Harrison mourned a beloved member of their community Wednesday after he was killed in a car accident earlier in the week. Jimmy Amodeo, 37, was made an honorary firefighter despite his mental disability. The town embraced Amodeo as a warm man who made everyone smile. A makeshift memorial symbolizes the feelings residents have over loss of their friend. Amodeo was killed when a car accidentally struck him on Underhill Avenue Monday. He was taken to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, but died later as a result of his injuries. Fellow firefighters say they will attend Amodeo’s wake and funeral. As a final honor, his name will be listed on the memorial board at the West Harrison Fire Department. His funeral will be on October 20 at St. Anthony of Padua Church in West Harrison.

  23. WOW, 20 vehicles for 900 homes, pretty good ratio. The article didnt mention if the medical staff was paid or volunteer. I would have to guess paid and would also guess that most of that budget would cover salaries and insurance, but I could be wrong. Either way one hell of a budget..
