  1. Not what I thought you where going to say. Everytime I have on TheBravest.com I always hear a 10 code that I know what in means for Peekskill PD but does it mean the same thing for FDNY Clearing from a job or going back to take care of some "busniess"? anyway the code i hear is 10-6,10-3??
  2. well put MVFD. But now I have a question. Have any of the volunteer agencies thought about running their own ALS service? like becomming an ALS corp instead of a BLS corp? I see a medic ridding with PVVAC alot.
  3. Looks good. Just not a big fan of the new Ford front end design. Show me an '07 and I'll take it.
  4. I hope not JACK10562, This site rocks!!!!! I wish I Could help out with a donation but I have a baby due next month and its a little tight right now. very soon Seth I'll be helping out very soon. LONG LIVE THE ADDS!!!!!!!!!!!!! KEEP THE ADDS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. It is always better to have 2 people operating a strecher then it is just one. When the corp that I belonged to had the test model for 30 days I used it once and almost flipped the strecher with a patient on it. To this day I REFUSE to use that strecher. I would rather have something happen when its me and my partner then when it is just me on the strecher. Does anyone else feel the same way?? Could be worse they could be 750 lbs of dead weight. right IRISH2491.
  6. I have to agree. When my grandfather was chief, the fire department purchesed a rig during that year. The fire department brought the rig to my grandfathers funeral. To me that showed amazing respect for him. Not to mention Verplanck, Buchanan, Conyonga Lake (up near Monticello){hope its spelt right} came down with a rig as well.
  7. Love the way it is set up. I would also like to see it on my cell phone considering I am always on my cell phone.
  8. Just saw it today for the first time. What a wonderful addition to the Point. The "dry" down was great some corned beef, irish soda bread, beer, and soda. Good Luck Verplanck hope all works out well. look for some pictures soon saw JTcamp with his camera.
  9. hey gang I was just wondering did anyone else order that helmet light called the "buddy light"? if you did how do you like it? I just ordered one myself.
  10. why not? It works for the day laborers. It just seems to me that no matter what happens to the ALS program out there its still going to be news. Maybe the founder from CRP should go and help them out with makin an ALS program. he did it here and works out wonderful.
  11. We use our siren here 24/7 and every day at 5pm or now a days 6pm (because of the time change) except on sundays.
  12. I agree lad45der. this is crazy I have never heard of anything so crazy. I keep my helmet close the only time i put it on is when i get on scene. What was wrong with having the air pack's strapped in like they have been making for the past XX amount of years.
  13. The deparment i belong to switched to it at the beginning of the month. I DO NOT LIKE IT AT ALL. I am very upset that there is no way of knowing whether or not an engine or anything is rolling. There has to be a better way, there has to be.
  14. its hard to say Remember, I would have done the same thing. I know in my neighborhood I always clear the one infront of my neighbor's house.
  15. ok quick question. what is the difference between a ladder tower and tower ladder? every time we sign on with our truck and LT_ responding control corrects us and says Tower Ladder _ you are responding. This question was moved from another thread, because it's a good topic

  19. no problem Ed. I will see if the boys from the 'Trose will send some things your way. Maybe your gang from the VA might give us a hand. We may even make it a Tri-Village thing.

  22. thanks for your input gang. I cant wait to get mine!!!! I'm hoping, that once I get it, the department might think about getting them for all of the members that respond to calls. The Buddylight Company emailed me, and told me that they are awaiting a new led, that will make them brighter and longer lasting. I can't wait! I'm like a little kid at christmas time, awaiting Santa.
