  1. Good luck with it. Sounds like a polished turd to me
  2. It is rare enough to get a new stationhouse, let alone an entire new precinct. The last new precinct I can think of is the 33 Pct which was formed around 1994 by splitting the 34 Pct almost in half in Washington Heights.
  3. Sadly, yes there is one team. Others fell by the wayside. East Fishkill has been called numerous times as well.
  4. Unknown late 80's/early 90's Sutphen in Bedford Hills.
  5. Remember this. Neither the Republicans or the Democrats are "on our side". Too many believe the Democrats will help the working man. Both parties are full of politicians that will throw us under the bus to get a few votes.
  6. Unfortunately with the bias on this board, remove firefighter from the first sentence and replace with police officer, and everyone will go nuts with how it is unsafe, they are untrained, unprepared, unprotected. I for one am getting real sick of it.
  7. He has a "Gear Up' foundation page up on Facebook, that I have reported as a scam/fraud numerous times. Never removed by facebook no matter the number of complaints against it.
  8. I have heard that he often responds with threats of litigation to anyone who questions him and his 'organization'.
  9. I can see the headline now, "Rye police let man die while waiting for volunteers."

  11. Thornwood is covered by the Pleasantville Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Not sure what frequency they are using today. Years ago they were dispatched by the Pleasantville Police, over the Pleasantville DPW frequency of 151.040, but communicate via the PD frequency for responding and on scene notifications. Not sure if they ever switched to 60 Control,. Also found this https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?ctid=1884

  16. yeah lots of confusion. We were told to come over the radio as " Transit 12 Post 20". 2 nights ago was bad, you could hear other dispatchers screaming in the background as our dispatcher struggled to get things done. Almost 2 hours just to enter 3 districts roll calls into the system. Jobs were forgotten, or not even dispatched. Last night was a big improvement, My district handled a space case, with little to no problems from central. Our 4x12s had a few minor hiccups.
  17. On the PD side we switched to Icad dispatching, which replaced SPRINT. Absolutely horrible. Dispatchers are having tough time with it. Jobs getting dispatched only once, not being cleared in the system, resulting in several jobs being 'held' for 20 plus hours. Constantly being told to stand by while the dispatcher tries to figure it out.
  18. Yes, if i am not working!
