Rescue Stuff without a doubt.

Everybody knows that the leprechauns paint our trucks green!! LOL. The Snorkel, though it couldn't get out of it's own way was a good truck!!

Lot of memories in that building from when I was a kid and my dad was a member there. Hopefully the Centennial signage with the shamrocks are found intact or restorable and, as others have suggested reuse of the bricks in some other fashion. Thank god nobody got hurt.

The Verplanck Fire Department will be holding their annual parade on Friday, July 18, 2008 beginning at 7:00 p.m. Approximately 15 fire and ems units will be marching in our parade. The parade begins at 5th and Broadway, goes down 5th Street to Westchester Avenue, makes a left onto 6th Street, a right onto Broadway, left onto 8th Street and ends at the Verplanck Firehouse. The Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society Italian Feast is going on right next to the firehouse. Food, rides and games. (Feast runs from Thursday July 17th to Sunday July 20th) Trophies are at 9:15 p.m with fireworks to follow.

Verplanck Parade is July 18th at 7:00 - Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Italian Feast is going on at the same time in Verplanck.

Verplanck had an old Young Snorkel 85' which we just got rid of a couple of years ago and now have a Bronto Skylift 100'ft RLP which is similar to the Snorkel. Yonkers had one and Bedford had one. That's all I can think of.
