I dont see many Pierce Apparatus around or any pics on this site and/or others. I only see mainly Seagrave, E-one, American Lafrance, Ferrara, ect.

All I can only think of is New Rochelle R-4

I know we are a little out of Westchester but we run a mainly Pierce fleet minus our rescue. The rescue is a Mack/EVI combo with our 4 engine's and 1 truck being Pierce. Our towns third district runs 3 Pierce engines also.

I think Pierce is the best fire apparatus out there by far!!. So many different options to choose from.. arrow, contender, lance, dash, saber, enforcer etc.. Anyone like (LEDS) well pierce was the first apparatus to sport them.. I think the only other fire truck that comes close MAYBE is seagrave..

American lafrance?? NOTHING like they use to be.. Think about it there made by frieghtliner? Since when did they make a fire truck :P

Id take sleepy hollows old lafrance engine over there new 1 ANYDAY!!

Wanna see a S - - - load of pierce apparatus and others?? Check out !!www.fdnytrucks.com

i think they are very functunal, especialy with the top mounts.

i havent been on other trucks though, so i cannot say wich is supperior, but i think it comes down to what your used to working with, as well as the need for the apparatus in your district!
