Tuckahoe PD at last night's Yonkers fire ?

4 posts in this topic

Saw a marked Tuckahoe police car at last night's Texas Avenue fire in Yonkers and wondered if police mutual aid for fires is now common practice throughout Westchester, or is this just unique to Yonkers?

Had first noticed this two years ago when NYPD Highway was diverting traffic during YPD Anti Crime's shoot out in the Macy's north lot, Cross County Center.

Thank You.

No mutual aid was called for...probably just checking things out...was very close to the border of the jurisdictions...

The macy's thing had NYPD because there were 3 major things going on in Yonkers...General Alarm fire on N Broadway, NYPD involved shooting on Locust Hill Ave, and the Macy's shoot out with the car thieves...

Last night nothing else was really happenning other than the fire and the normal calls for disorderly youths...

I believe a relative of the TPD officer lived in the complex.

Yes. That officer's mother lives in that building and he had permission to go and make sure she was okay.
