Yorktown Parade

Parade: Yorktown Heights 

Date:Wednesday, June 23, 2004 

Location/Route; Starts on Hanover St., Will end at main firehouse. Parking is available in any lot around the firehouse. 

Step-Off Time: Should start at 7:00pm 

Best Photo Location: Great pictures can be taken from the front of the firehouse, or on Veterans Rd. 

Other Information: Carnival to follow parade. 

Contact Information/Website:http://www.YorktownFire.org for parade maps, direction etc. 

All westchester departments recieved invites, and we would love to see a few more of the southern county FD's attend!

Congrats to the guys from Croton!

E118 won Best Engine.

TL44 won Best Aerial.

R18 won Best Rescue.

Good job fellas, keep up the good work!

Maybe as soon as E120 ripens, it too will join the winning fleet. :-k

Croton looked great last night, however I was dissapointed that Engine 119 did not make an appearance :sad:

Sounds like it was fixed to me. #-o

Other trophies included Millwood for best antique and Contenental Village for best tanker.

I had heard rumers that we were supposed to win best tanker untill it was alleged that one of the dump valves "accidentally" opened on a judge. Unfortuanately, I can not confirm or deny these rumors. 8-[

Man I wish I could fix parade results...Maybe I wouldnt have to polish so much diamond plate. I would certainly be able to open my hands all the way right now.

Don't know if it's the next. Mahopac is July 8th followed by Mt. Kisco on July 9th.

Sorry Ed, this is a Westchester message board. But I guess we'll let you slide since you crossed the boarder for the parade. [-(

Besides who else would win best overall, unless it was Ossining or Montrose of course. 8)

Sorry, but Katonah took best regulation at Yorktown this year, not Buchanan.
