Looks like Poughkeepsie's new Public Safety facility is almost ready to go:

What will be housed here? FD, PD, and 911? And what FD apparatus wise?

And what will happen to Station 2 across the street?:

So PD and FD are going to be rolling out of that building? Where is City 911 located currently?

Looks like a nice facility for sure, definitely nice to see the Poughkeepsie guys getting a new pad smile.gif

Obviously City Fire....maybe even the shift commander from what I hear....

The police specialty units - Community Policing, I think Traffic.....

The City 911 center is in the Police HQ in City Hall.

I should clarify about the sore subject part - sure, we all would love to have moved to the new building, into a room with oh...maybe some windows and decent air quality - but tactically, it would be difficult. So many snap decisions are made with the police Watch Commander, who sits right outside the center during the tour.....

But I still think a top floor office with pnaoramic windows would have been the ticket!

I've been holding out for some time...but since we are talking about 911 centers and moving...the dispatchers of the Yonkers 911 PD/FD Comms are moving soon. Somewhere with windows...YEA!!!!! Can't say where but it looks a lot better than our 2nd floor office in the Cacace center where the only windows we have now separate the "pods"...Sorry to hear they couldn't hook y'all up with a new space...I will be thinking of you while I am enjoying the fresh air!

The current Station 2 is pretty close to being condemned from what I've heard. Anyone know what they are going to place in that third bay? Just the reserve engine and rescue? Or are they going to place an additional manned rig in service?
