Somers/JFK both in the same town. Too bad JFK can't come close to beating Somers.

Used to love Hen Hud - Peekskill. I don't know if they play each other anymore though! Used to have huge bonfires at Depew Park in Peekskill and at Hen Hud in Montrose, the night before the game...but that ended when someone deemed it to be unsafe!

FYI, when my Dad was a kid, the Jets practiced at Depew Park in Peekskill!

Fox Lane and John Jay

Fox Lane and Greely

Since we moved up a division the fights between the schools have almost disappeared

When I was going to Fox Lane our biggest game was against Greely, now I don't even know if they play each other anymore.

That was always our homecoming weekend.

No we dont play Greely anymore......Fox Lane got too big so we moved out of Greely's division.

Homecoming is actually this weekend and we are playing Walter Panas High School

We will see how that turns out....I dont think we have ever played them.

Dino, trust me, you don't want him cooking, you'll end up with franks and beans,Maybe Danny cooking is a better idea....but it shouldn't matter since Rye's gonna win anyway.....so you guys are gonna be cooking, remember: no catering this time, and there better be halo on the x-box......

westlake v. valhalla are generally good games, although they are in different divisions this year.

...i remember when i was in high school a rival game was cancelled bc the school got wind that the players planned to bring knives to the games and stick each other when tackling! if that's not the defination of rivals, i don't know what is!!

In my day - Valhalla vs. Westlake, until we (Valhalla) got too small and moved down a division and didn't play each other anymore. Contrary to what Vacguy said, it was always a friendly rivalry; there were never any knives or threats involved.

Now, are we talking about the actual game or the carnage that follows????

Whatever happened to...

Lincoln vs. Roosevelt (Yonkers)

Mt. Vernon vs. New Rochelle

And for Putnam I'd have to agree that Mahopac vs. Carmel is quite the rivalry.
