Roosevelt (Dutchess) Fire?

I heard the Dc Fire invest unit get dispatched to Roosevelt(Dutchess) for a fire anyone know what was going on?

Yes they had a 2 alarm fire at 29 Prince Rd. This went out about 15:30. Firefighters made a good stop but the home was already severly damaged by fire. I will try to post a few pics later on.

Just out of curiosity. wouldn't it be quicker to throw a ground ladder and climb that to the roof instead of using the aerial?? Or, is this one of those things where you should be climbing the aerial with a saw??

There were several spots of active fire in the attic that the firefighters inside were unable to put out. A can was requested to the roof several times with no success. The fire continued to grow and a hoseline was sent to the roof.
