Wow that is an awkward spot for a car to run onto the house. Hope everyone was ok.

Strange way to warm your car up....

Good job EFD holding this from becoming a real disaster!

Looks to be the gas meter?

Good stop, and good photo documentation as well. Just goes to show you never know what you might really encounter at a scene!

I know that street over there.....it's a tight turn.

Did the driver just miss the turn?

It was a sheet of ice Friday night, it looks like the car slid straight down the hill and into the house.

If you look closely, there are TWO gas meters in the last photo.

The impact sheared off the 2 inch riser pipe for the gas service entrance. That's a lot of gas!

Interesting, Google maps has a view of the house (under construction) with a car parked right where the accident was.post-128-1203891659.jpg

Is the meter still burning in that last pic? That looks a little dangerous.

No, the gas was shut and fire was out for the last few pictures.

I have no idea what the orange is.

The orange in the last picture was probably a flake of snow or ice on my camera lens. It was sleeting at the time of this incident, and while these photo's were taking.

It was also a two family house with two gas meters.
