Tarrytown's old E76

I found this on ebay, I have it as Ex-Tarrytown Engine 76, as lon as the seller provided the right serial #.

I dont think that Eng 76 was a Mack. I think Eng 79 Hope Hope was a Mack.

Both Engine 76 and Engine 79 were Mack CF's. The old Engine 79, as far as I know, is in use by the Mt. Vernon Fire Department. Not sure if they still have it, but the did purchase it a few years ago when it was replaced with a 2001 E-One.

Engine 78 was a 1980 Hahn. That was replaced in 2005 by the current apparatus, Tower Ladder 78, a 2005 ALF Mid Mount. The Hahn was donated by the village to a department in Tennessee who was using an apparatus from the 1950's as their front line piece.

Tarrytowns Apparatus was as follows prior to the current fleet

Phenix (Eng 76) ran a Mack CF prior to there current E-One

Consolidated (Eng 77) ran a Ward Lafrance prior to there current E-One

Washington (T.L. 78) ran a Hahn prior to there current ALF Tower

Hope (Eng 79) ran a Mack CF prior to there current E-one which I believe is still owned by FDMV not sure

Riverside (Eng 80) ran a Seagrave prior to there Current E-One

Conqueror (Trk 37) ran a Maxim Mid-mount prior to there current E-One

its ebay item # 230289296376. if the seller provided the correct serial number, it is the old Engine 76. its down in Alabama now apparently. I contacted the seller for more info.

I think they had two CF macks but can't be sure.

yes, Tarrytown had 2 Mack CF's. x635 is right, on of them, the old E-79 went to Mt. Vernon, what happened to the other is far beyond my time in the department.
