Where was it reported that the officer was ejected? From the looks of the other car (seen in video clip), the safe assumption would be that it was the driver of the other car who was ejected, and succumbed to his injuries as a result. Until the Record posted that report, there was no indication that it was even a two-person unit. The male officer called it in, and said nothing over the air about a partner.

Must have been a slow news day in the city. Apparently a crew from Channel 2 came up to report on it.

Hope for a speedy recovery for the officer and condolences to the family of the other driver.

Cable 6 news reported tonight that the accident occured when the other driver lost control due to excessive speed and bald tires. He apparently spun and ended up across the road just moments before the officer came down the road. He was also apparently driving with a suspended or revoked license and not wearing a seatbelt.

License revoked for prior speeding charges, or something to that effect. Guy had no business being behind the wheel, and he was still doing the very same thing which got him in trouble to begin with.

Moments ago, Town of Wallkill officers were dispatched to Ingrassia Road in the area of yesterday's incident. Caller reports 12-15 cars in the area, some of which have been racing up and down the road at times. Friends of the deceased paying tribute, perhaps?
