Montrose New Engine

8 posts in this topic

I wonder if something's wrong with the current Engine 121? $49,500 seems like an great bargain.

I know Montrose was one of many departments becoming all ALF, but with ALF not bidding on anything, or at least that I know of, I wonder who will win the bid?

LFD171, thanks again for the heads up!

Hmmm, i was under the impression that they were getting rid of E123 (also a Pemfab i believe). I knew they were looking into a new engine and figured they would try for ALF. They did a great job scec'ing E122 (IMO), the newest to their fleet. Its a great short wheel base engine, which is a must for many of the areas of their district.

Sad to see "Condo-1" go though.

IT'S TOO BIG!!! LOL

I heard they were looking at a rig they saw at the Firehouse Expo to replace 121. I belive it was a KME, similar size to E122

123 is a Ward Lafrance. Not a Pemfab. Yes 121 is going, no there is nothing wrong with it.
