Its not new....Braun Made something similar in the 1980's

Well, maybe the concept isn't but the product from Lifeline is. And Braun is currently making ambulances on the Spartan Furion chasis too. Several going to Miami-Dade.

I wonder how it will handle because it is a larger truck & body on a shorter wheelbase. I imagine that it will feel bouncy, I have no factual basis for this just the way it looks to me.

We use Isuzu's here for front line pumps etc, they seem to hold up very well, but you can't fit SCBA sets in the cab which sucks!!

He was asking if it was made from a material like a fiber glass; as opposed to a stainless steel or aluminum body. One company named Plastisol has been making composite bodies for trucks for more than thirty years.

did Buchanan take delivery of the New Rescue 26 yet

Buchanan FD received their rescue a little over a week ago. I'm not sure if it's service yet though

The new Rescue 26 was at the firehouse for a few hours last week. It is being fitted for tools and we should be taking delivery later this week.

Good job!!

It's nice to see a new rig that isn't enormous.

As Mike Wilbur says, "Bigger isn't necessarily better."
