City of Mount Vernon Police Department recently took delivery of

Several New Ford Crown Vics with a New Design

There were a total of 9 cars delivered to MVPD and all 9 were put into service at the same time, completely replacing the currently working Patrol fleet. Those cars were rotated into 'spare vehicle' status. The new cars feature all Whelen LED lighting, dual spot lights on the two man patrol cars. a battery saver feature, all plastic rear seats and metal rear window guards. Also on order is a new ESU patrol vehicle.

Those graphics would also look good if the new cars were black and white! Hopefully they will give MVPD a good number of years of service.
