Another snow Monday commute that will be made even more miserable by snow!

It is amazing to me that 3-6 inches gets a winter weather advisory. IMHO it is because people in the area just do not know how to drive in "snow." Too many of the "I have 4-wheel drive so I can do what I want" personality. There are places in NYS (and the rest of the country) that get 3-6 inches every night...with no weather advisory. It just s funny how people freak out of small accumulations of snow as if it is the end of the world. I bet the supermarkets are packed this morning. You need to get your condensed milk, cans of soup, gallons of water, batteries, generators, etc.

Good luck to you all!unsure.gif

Weather advisories are issued based upon forecast weather conditions not people's driving ability. They do issue them upstate and elsewhere, they just don't make a big deal about them.

See the attached from the NWS on when they're issued and why.
