Wassaic's Seagrave Returns

9 posts in this topic

It finally made it back home a few weeks ago and was used to carry Brother Gustave Deister to his final resting place last week, she's a bit rough looking at this point but should be looking pretty sharp this summer, As soon as I can get up and get some more shots of some of the details of "Old Bets" I will.

The fire company chose not to continue with the FWD and sold it to 4 of our members for a $1.00, sadly that was OUR first new piece of equipment and should have been done prior to the Seagraves but because we got a $30,000 grant for the Seagraves that project was moved forward and we just don't have the $$$ nor resources to do both, the members that have it will surely make sure it will get done though.

Could we have it back.........Pleeeeeaaaaassseeee?

There's always a dollar and a dream.

On a lighter note, I heard many a story about "The Seagrave" from the older guys when I was younger.
