YONKERS — A Yonkers fire battalion chief and a firefighter responding to a call were injured today when their SUV was hit by a minivan, a fire official said.

The accident occurred about 11:45 a.m. at Riverdale and Prospect avenues. The fire department SUV had its lights and siren on, Deputy Fire Chief John Flynn said.
