New Hackensack Chief's 2012 Tahoe

5 posts in this topic

Specialty Warning Systems, in Danbury CT, recently delivered a 2012 Tahoe Chief’s vehicle to the New Hackensack Fire District, located in the Dutchess County Town of Wappinger.

The warning system is almost exclusively Whelen including a Freedom lightbar, 700 series lightheads in the lower grille, Mirror Beams on each side mirror, split color M4s on each corner, split color Slimlighters in each rear side cargo window, LAW HideAways in the tailights and split color M4s on the rear cargo door. A linear traffic advisor above the cargo door provides supplemental rear warning as well as standard arrow direction. System control is by way of the CenCom system

The custom cargo compartment command cabinet provides for tool and equipment storage, scene command, turnout gear, SCBA and rear communications.

The center console is a 24” Havis which contains department communications, CenCom control head, storage box, dual cup holders, armrest, map light and scanner.

In addition to the unique two tone paint (which New Hackensack incorporates into all their Chief’s vehicles) the exterior graphics include gold leaf, white reflective and black accent elements.

This is the second Chiefs vehicle we’ve built for the NHFD, the first being an in service 2008 Tahoe. We have enjoyed working with the New Hackensack FD on both of them and look forward to working with them on additional projects in the future

Look for the NHFD video on our You Tube channel in the upcoming weeks.

As Far As I Have Known When New Hackensack Gets A New Chiefs Truck It Goes To 52-1, Then 52-1 Old Vehicle Goes To 52-2, Then 52-2 Old One Goes To 52-3, Then 52-3 Old One Goes To 52-9, Then 52-9 Gets Sold. Hillside Lake Fire Company Bought The Old 52-9 About 6 Years Ago And Since Has Been Sold. Good Luck New Hackensack Fire Department.
