What is a "Training & Experience" exam? How is it rank equal candidates?

Wow, I see not much of a pay raise from 28 years ago. When I started with Nationwide Ambulance starting salary was 13 an hour

Basically it is judged by exprience, are you in a 911 system. Education and training. CHanes are if someone has a year exprience in FDNY and someone has a year experience in a volley, The FDNY  person most likely get the job

Since when is there a civil service, municipal EMS system in Putnam County?

Who is actually going to employ these EMTs?

Part time at 15/hour.  Nice.  No benefits, no pension, no protection.  No wonder EMS is so screwed up!

So I rpobably just don't understand this, but what is the point of having civil service status employees for the Town of Patterson if they are only going to be part time. As far as I'm aware, only full time employees of a municipality need to be civil service. Then again, I guess this does mean they are going to get $20 from everyone who wants to apply for the job.

Part time = no benefits, no pension, no real job security.

Well done, Patterson!  Well done!  (/sarcasm)
