...HEAVY RAIN FOLLOWED BY WINTRY CONDITIONS EXPECTED FOR THE WEEKEND...

LOW PRESSURE MOVING THROUGH THE GREAT LAKES WILL PUSH A WARM FRONT NORTH ACROSS THE AREA TONIGHT.

RAIN WILL BE DEVELOPING THIS EVENING...AND COULD BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES TOWARDS DAYBREAK. THIS LOW WILL TRACK ACROSS PENNSYLVANIA AND INTO CENTRAL NEW JERSEY BY SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

RAIN...POSSIBLY HEAVY AT TIMES...WILL CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE DAY ALONG WITH A POSSIBLE RUMBLE OR TWO OF THUNDER. ALTHOUGH WIDESPREAD FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED...URBAN AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS COULD EXPERIENCE LOCALIZED FLOODING.

THE MAIN PROBLEM FOR THE AREA COMES SATURDAY NIGHT. LOW PRESSURE WILL RAPIDLY INTENSIFY AS IT PASSES OVER LONG ISLAND AND MOVES TOWARDS CAPE COD.

SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL TURN TO MORE OF A NORTHWESTERLY FLOW WILL INCREASE TO 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS RANGING FROM 30 TO 40 MPH. THESE WINDS WILL USHER MUCH COLDER AIR TO THE AREA...

AND TEMPERATURES WILL QUICKLY DROP INTO THE LOWER 30S. RAIN WILL CHANGE TO SNOW AFTER MIDNIGHT...AND THE STRONG WINDS COMBINED WITH FALLING SNOW COULD DRASTICALLY REDUCE VISIBILITIES. ACCUMULATING SNOW IS LIKELY BY DAYBREAK SUNDAY.

WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS GENERALLY 35 TO 45 MPH WILL REMAIN ACROSS THE AREA THROUGHOUT THE DAY SUNDAY BEFORE DIMINISHING SUNDAY NIGHT.

Props to P'ville, Banksville, Mt. Kisco, And Yorktown. These Dept.'s just stuck out in my head from hearing them going out ALL NIGHT LONG especially Banksville & Kisco. Roads were Horrible in Northern Westchester especially Ossining.
