  1. Boy..... I don't know who is ejoying themselves more, Pat, or the bull ?
  2. Yeah, yeah, yeah...the pictures are good shots, and thanks for sharing them with us 372SFRD.There seems to be members out there to get a little excided over a couple fire photos. Paul J Debartolo "hits on the head" on everything he said, to learn from the educational pictures ,from the tactics to the operations to the approach on a good working fire photos. Also its funny how after Paul J Debartolo puts his post up the "Monday morning quarter backs " start coming out, and by looking at a couple photos they have all the answers,.....from two states away !!! ????
  3. Don (get it right) There was no working fire on Stephanie Lane ????, that I know of....., but there was one on Swenson Drive and one on Meadow Drive. Dont worry,'' PHOTOUNIT " was there and I am sure he will post them (photos) in due time. New Hamburg did not call for Roosevelt, DC-911 moved them down. There will be NO politics in New Hamburg Fire Dist when it comes to getting a job done or a fire out. All I asked is to fill my stations. I really dont care who does it as long as it is done. It is the smart/right thing to due when you have an area of the county getting hammered by a number of calls is to skip up to a district or two that was not effected by the storm so you dont deplete a certain area. Not to repeat what xfirefighter484x said but he hit it on the head.
  4. 53-45 is out of service, it was sold to a vol. fire dept in Georgia, New Hamburg Fire Distict has a new Sutphen tower ladder (SPH) on order, Wappingers 68-45 will handle all truck assignments till the new tower ladder arrives.
  5. I asked the guys at station #2 (East End Engine) to put it on the sign, because we take a lot S**T about our yellow rigs,.............ITS ALL IN FUN, thanks Sal. Joe Moore, Chief NHFD
  6. Thanks again..............Long Island
  7. its amazing, with all of Yonkers new fire apparatus the "good old" MACK/ BAKER is it the front door.
  8. My 2 cents: 1) The truck chauffer did an excellent job that morning,The truck placement got the ladder itself to hit a large section of the stucture. Nice job Traver 2) I personality now a lot of the guys got there asses kicked that morning and know first hand it was not a easy fire because of the building constuction, it was not a BIG fire ,but it was a lot of work. 3) I know this because I was there that morning, and not two countys away. Joe Moore, Chief NHFD
  9. Got a funny one.... While working at the firehouse a few years ago, in The City Of Beacon, N.Y.Fire Dept, I had an old lady walk two blocks, and knock on the front door at fire HQ. When I answered the door the old lady asked me "can I borrow a fire extinguisher"... ( her exact works) I looked at her very confused I said why ? she replied "I have a fire in my basement". Sure enough I asked her where she lived and it turned out to be a minor working fire. I will never forget it.
  10. Stuphen makes a GREAT truck, but , I hope some day, in my career, I get to try/drive a tiller tuck.
  11. I know it happens, but... one of the first things you look into, after you suspect arson, in a "suspicious" fire is the owners financial/foreclosure/credit history,on the property and sometimes insurance will hold up on paying for any losses in damage, the insurance companys are getting smarter and will also send out there own investigator to help build there own case. But, I do agree, because people will do anything, and not think with a level head when they are depressed.
  12. **First of all ,Halligan bar is always my first pick.**The TNT tool is to heavy, there is to much wieght on the sledge hammer end of the tool. That "jonny bar" is not a good tool with that pike pole end ,MAYBE if it had a "Griff hook" or a "NY hook" on the end ,it may be a little better. My 2 cents
  13. HOLY COW !!!, I can remember that fire, I use to live right across the street from St. Denis School on Mclean Ave. in the 6 story brick, I remember the the fire house on Radford St. right around the corner there first due, but i can't remember the companys #.
  14. Pointers on decorating, are you kidding.... take a look at those pretty curtains in the front windows.
  15. Now I can say ,I SEEN IT ALL, Why do people cont. to put on more and more videos on you tube to show how stupid they really are, videos like this is why OSHA and lawyers are having a field day on the fire service.
  16. You would assume it, because your a cop, I assume it, because I am a (career) firefighter, it does not reference anything about a cop.
  17. Mines simple, because i am "on the job"
