  1. The jeep is in service although we have not used it for a call since a fire up in Mountain Lakes a couple of years ago. It runs but doesn't see much action. We had delays in getting E139 as the original truck built did not meet the spec. We rejected it and a second one was built to spec. Some photos were posted of it on our site.
  2. It did in fact
  3. Journal News Video from Frank Becerra Jr.
  4. We have pics. Our website is in the midst of being rebuilt and should be online soon. This incident will be a good one to get initial interest in our website DOT had to come with a front loader and bury the carcass on the side of 684. We washed the road down and had to close NB 684 for an hour to do so. The debris was approximately 2/10 of a mile long and everywhere in sight in the right lane. It was very fortunate that no one received serious injuries except obviously Bullwinkle. I *believe* 6 out of the 9 cars were towed (but I can't swear to that number). One car flipped over, occupant crawled out with our assistance, the initial vehicle struck had it go over the windshield and the others received damage to the front ends and engines. 5. E138 is a 1968. I *believe* it was refurbished in 1988. He reads this forum..maybe he will come out of lurking to post here.
  6. E138 was refurbished prior to me getting to GBFD. I spoke to one of our ex-chiefs last night on this subject. It was refurbished out of necessity due to severe wear and tear on the compartments I was told. Thank you for the clarification on "CF"!
  7. Could someone clarify what "CF" etc.. means? I apologize for my ignorance I am assuming based upon your discussion that E138 is not a CF model:
  8. I can speak to this but won't air too many specifics. The bottom line on E139 is the delivery is delayed. I do not foresee any change in the status coming very soon unfortunately. Yes - E138 is still in service in it's 40th year of service.

  14. Who built your site? It looks pretty sharp. Was it someone within your department or did you have someone else build it? I ask as I am the lone member of the committee for the GBFD website which I inherited. It is in desperate need of an overhaul. I was curious who you used and fees. If you want to send that privately if you don't wish to post it, I am OK with that also. Thanks in advance!
  15. Thank you for posting. It was a great day of training. Thanks to Gary Weber and CFFD for organizing this.
