The amount of hose that bed carries...so 6/10 is 6 lengths of 1.75 and 10 lengths of 2.5 connected by a reducer.

Bro, your in the 14-17 age how can you know what your doing inside and out when you still not even allowed to go into a building...and how the hell do you know more then most guys on the job...these guys went through a rigorous academy and train on a day to day bases...I would love you be there when you "show" these guys up...I am the captain at my post and got the position after taking a test...and I still don't know jack about what being a real FF is, I never been inside a fire. Just my two cents...good luck though

From my learning as a fire explorer, and from seeing things done a certain way, I have noticed that many departments do not choose the correct sized line for the fire at hand. Pulling and 1.75 on a fully involed house is not the smartest move. Choosing the correct sized line...IMO...can make the difference between losing a house and saving it. Size up is a key to having the proper sized line. FE Capt. Matt. D

They were caught on a post that is used to stop cars from going on the sidewalk. It happened in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn and about 2 blocks away from Squad 1.
